- Abstract
This study aims to determine: 1) the role of the school committee to improve school quality, and 2) the inhibiting factors of the committee’s role to improve school quality. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Informants with the purposive sampling method. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis by collecting, reducing, presenting, drawing conclusions. The results showed that the school committee played a role as 1) policymakers, 2) policy controllers, and 3) policy supporters. The inhibiting factors found were (a) limited funds, and (b) time availability.
