Fiscal decentralization has the goal of providing opportunities for regions to explore the potential funding sources as well as they have. In this discussion, we will review how fiscal decentralization implemented in the region of Madura. The discussion will be more in-depth about the impact and the influence of fiscal decentralization on efforts to increase the local potential in Madura region. This study used a combined research method between qualitative research methods and literature study. The result of this study indicates that Madura region is had some of the potentials that can be developed, but the potential is yet to be optimized because there are still some constraints especially for oil and gas mines potential where the regulation used has not been able to benefit the local government. Therefore, it is necessary to review some fiscal policies that related to the management of local potential in the Madura region, so that some of the potentials can be maximized.
