- Abstract
Decision making is one of the main responsibilities of every leader. Based on the responsibility and authority possessed, the time the school is the right holder in decision making. Decision making occurs in situations that require someone to make a prediction in the future, choose one of two choices or more, make an estimate (forecast) regarding the frequency of the forecast that will occur. Decision making is one aspect that is influenced by leadership. Decision making besides being a process of identifying problems and opportunities also includes the process of finding a way out of the problem. The main steps in decision making include: Identification of problems, Identification of decision criteria, Allocation of weights for criteria, Alternative development, Analysis of alternatives, Selection of alternatives, Implementation of alternatives, Assessment of effectiveness of decisions.
