Abstract

This paper explores the role of technology-driven educational management in Semarang’s journey toward becoming a smart city. The integration of technology in education is a key component in the development of smart cities, where data-driven decision-making, innovative educational practices, and digital infrastructure play significant roles in shaping a city’s future. In Semarang, the local government has prioritized smart city initiatives, focusing on enhancing educational quality through the use of technology, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, and improving access to resources. This study examines the impact of smart education systems, digital transformation in schools, and public-private partnerships in advancing educational management. The findings suggest that technology adoption in educational management not only supports the development of skilled human resources but also contributes to creating a sustainable, efficient, and inclusive environment for all citizens. Ultimately, Semarang’s educational transformation serves as a model for other cities in Indonesia striving to achieve smart city goals through innovation and technology integration in their education sectors.
