- Abstract
Many factors are determining the parent decides to send their children to a particular school. The purpose of this study is to obtain the satisfaction level of educational quality experienced by the parent. The type of this research is descriptive, explorative analysis with qualitative and quantitative approaches. The qualitative data used are the data of educational experts to determine the attributes of education referring to the National Education Standards using the Delphi method. The quantitative one is data of parents' answers to the questionnaires on the characteristics of education using Kano methods. The instrument used was a questionnaire including 26 items. The subject of this research was 11 Junior High School of Muhammadiyah in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The sampling technique was stratified random sampling. The sample number is 235 parents selected using stratified random sampling. The result shows that there is a tendency that the quality category of the school is the attractive and one- dimensional category. This tendency implied that the school authority should educate the parent for a better perception of good school criteria.
