Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Social, Applied Science and Technology in Home Economics (ICONHOMECS 2017)
The 1st International Conference on Social, Applied Science and Technology in Home Economics (ICONHOMECS) was dedicated to the topic “Home Economics toward Sustainable to Development Goals (SDGs)”. The conference has been held in Surabaya, Indonesia on September 12-13, 2017. The aim of the conference was conducted to support the realization of SDGs target, specially to identify the research findings and research trend in home economic fields, to identify the opportunity to get intellectual right (patent, copyright, design), to open the entrepreneurial and creative industry development opportunity, to establish and improve the world home economic network for collaborative research and/or collaborative article publishing, and to strengthen home economic positioning as a new field in Indonesia and abroad.
Completing the activity, more than 116 papers have been submitted to the committee. Each paper was selected to go through a strict peer-reviewed process by two reviewers. Finally, 59 papers have been accepted to be published in these proceeding. The topic areas of the papers are: 1) Quality Education; 2) Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; 3) Responsible Consumption and Production, and 4) Social Science.
Organizations involved in this international conference are the Department of Home Economics, Faculty of Technology, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. We wish thank to invited speakers and participants for sharing and active contribution in the conference. We also greatly thank to the organizing committee, the members of scientific committees, reviewers and sponsors for supporting the conference. We also would like to express our gratitude the authors for contributing their research result to the conference.
