- Abstract
This study aims to analyze the forms of directive speech acts and their implementation as teaching materials for persuasive texts. This research utilized descriptive qualitative method. Directive speech acts were the object of this research and the subject of this research was the Instagram account @okisetiadewi. Data collection used observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis used pragmatic identity method. This study found 11 directive speech acts consisting of 3 commands, 3 advices, 3 invitation, and 2 requests. The findings of this study can be implemented as teaching materials in Indonesian language learning for base competency (KD) 3.14 and 4.14 class VIII Junior High School (SMP) persuasive text materials.
