Abstract

The existence of children in a family is a gift that demands a form of responsibility. The form of responsibility in question includes educating children to be responsible for mistakes made. Such a paradigm is important; So that children do not underestimate their mischief. Childcare patterns, especially in the Children’s Correctional Institution (LAPAS-ANAK), need to be improved. Children who are carried away in situations of delinquency due to disassociation need to be healed. The healing in question mainly involves Social Work Crime. Social Work Crime as an additional punishment needs to be observed and perfected its enforcement. On the other hand, the latest Criminal Code does separate penalties for children from adults. However, it needs to be studied, on the possibility of expanding the type of criminality in the shape of child social work crimes. This research employs a form of normative juridical analysis enhanced by a conceptual framework for comparing with Singapore’s laws governing the practice of social work with children.According to the study’s findings, youngsters who are in trouble with the law can consider social work crime as an option. The types of social work that can be administered to juvenile offenders must be established by the government.
