Abstract

Complex product development runs through product planning, R&D design, process design, manufacturing and production release, material purchase and distribution, spare parts and after-sales service, and other business fields. Each business field produces a variety of massive product data. Complex product data involves multiple business systems and many types of data objects. The same type of data objects exists in different classifications. The relationship between data is complex and frequent changes. At present, enterprises generally have the phenomenon that the data source is not uniform. A large amount of data needs to be repeatedly entered and processed twice. The configuration data flow is not coordinated frequently, and even the quality problem of configuration data conflict occurs, which seriously restricts the development of complex products and the enterprises. To clearly express the data relationship between the whole life cycle and cross-business fields, as well as open the business value chain of complex products, this paper proposes a configuration item space modeling method for the whole life cycle of complex products. It defines the business subject, data source, data relationship and static dynamic service characteristics of the configuration item space, to ensure that the configuration item space provides a single and authoritative data source for the complex product development business, and realizes the data continuity and cross-business collaboration of each business field in the whole life cycle.
