Website: http://www.icmsem.com The 3rd International Conference on Management Science and Engineering Management (ICMSEM 2022) was successfully held in Qingdao, China, on June 17–19, 2022. Focusing its discussion on modern management, ICMSEM 2022 discussed the benefits that modernization brings to engineering, inspired the audience to new ways of managing in engineering, and developed and advanced management science. During the conference, we were greatly honored to have Prof. Robin Qiu from Pennsylvania State University, USA, to serve as our Conference General Chair. And the conference brought together 100 individuals and groups to attend. The conference agenda covered keynote speeches and oral presentations. For a start, keynote speakers were each allocated 30–45 min to hold their speeches. Then in the oral presentations, the excellent papers we had selected were presented by their authors one by one. At the beginning of the conference, four distinguished professors were invited as the keynote speakers to deliver their speeches. Among them, Prof. Boon Leing TAN from PSB Academy, Singapore, made a report on A Study of OBE Accreditation and Assessment Practices: An International Perspective. This work aimed to present a synthesis of the experiences of an international set of authors and a sharing of the global best practices in the fields related to accreditation and assessment. He and his team conducted an extensive internal survey to collect data from these international academics and organized their analysis as a discussion on a range of accreditation stages and artifacts. In addition, Prof. Yuwang Chen from University of Manchester, UK, showed us his research: Data, Knowledge, and Decision Analytics. He briefly introduced his research on decision analytics in the context of data and uncertain knowledge, in which illustrative examples were used from the fields of engineering and management. Last but not least, Assoc. Prof. Bingbing Zhou from Ocean University of China, China, reported to us his study Advancing Food Supply Chain Sustainability from an Organizational Perspective: Implications of Delivery Diversity in U.S. Poultry Sector amid the pandemic. He used data from a US national company in the poultry sector to investigate the organizational diversity for delivering chicken amid the pandemic and contrasting delivery. Their brilliant speeches had triggered heated discussion. And every participant praised the conference for disseminating useful and insightful knowledge. The proceedings of ICMSEM 2022 covers various topics, which include Public Management, Information Management, Environmental Protection, Systems Engineering, etc. All the papers have been checked through rigorous review and processes to meet the requirements of publication. On behalf of the conference organizing committee, we’d like to show our congratulation and sincere gratitude to all the keynote speakers, peer reviewers, and all the participants. Furthermore, our special thanks go to the Atlantis Highlights in Engineering, for all efforts of the colleagues in publishing this paper volume.
