This year the theme for ICLD 2022 entitled Sustainable Development: Where are We? The unprecedented event of COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted almost every aspect of our lives, and the conference has migrated to a new digital platform. ICLD 2022 was organized by the Faculty of Law, Multimedia University, Malacca Campus, Malaysia. During the 25–27 July 2022, 16 papers were presented under the four tracks: – Track 1: Issues of General Law;
– Track 2: Law and Digitalization;
– Track 3: Legal Regulation of Data; and
– Track 4: Ensuring Human Rights in Digital World. Best Presenters for ICLD 2022: TRACK 1:
Dr. Yeow Jian Ai (Enforcement of OSH Regulations in Malaysia's Manufacturing Sector: An Empirical Investigation).
TRACK 2:
Dr. Gita Radhakrishna (Legal Issues with Real Estate in the Metaverse).
TRACK 3:
Dr. Hafidz Hakimi Haron (Zuckerberg’s Metaverse and The Unready Malaysian Laws: Quo Vadis?).
TRACK 4:
Mr. Leong Wei Shen and Ms. Farhanah Abdul Rashid (Digital Solution for Advancing Foreign Worker’s Human Rights in Malaysia). BEST PAPER AWARD ICLD 2022—manuscript entitled “Zuckerberg’s Metaverse and The Unready Malaysian Laws: Quo Vadis?” Dr. Hafidz Hakimi Haron.
