- Abstract
Based on the concept of interpersonal meaning in systemic functional linguistics, this paper analyzes the images in Chinese original picture books using visual analysis as the theoretical framework. It is found that through the rational use of angles, story characters and colors, the picture book author guides readers to form relevant perspectives, positions or judgments, thereby successfully creating the interpersonal meaning of reader-angle, reader-character and reader-color. The author re-examines the interpretation of the interpersonal meaning system of this framework, and explores a new theoretical path.
