- Abstract
Nowadays the children of the primary public schools in Mexico face the chal-lenge of a balanced development of digi-tal competencies. The purpose of this document is to show the preliminary re-sults of a study that analyzes the ITC knowledge and skills of students in the primary education for the municipalities of Veracruz, Boca del Rio and Medellin. A descriptive study was realized by a quantitative methodology. The results indicate that the students possesses major skill in the Internet use that in the basic managing of the TIC.
