- Abstract
Amidst the rapid progression of information technology and the onset of the digital age, big data models have undergone extensive evolution and exploration. This has been stimulated by a blend of factors including an exponential data surge, technological advancements, cost reductions, data-centric decision-making strategies, the emergence of machine learning and artificial intelligence, and the demand for interdisciplinary collaborations and industrial applications. Big data models offer significant tools and methodologies to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the big data era. As these models gradually permeate various domains, this research paper seeks to delve into their importance across different fields. The intention is to provide an overview of their applications, along with the challenges they encounter, and further present a case study depicting their use in addressing domain-specific obstacles, enhancing efficiency, minimizing costs, and optimizing decision-making processes. The paper broaches the definition and attributes of big data models and their historical evolution. It encapsulates examples of successful implementations across diverse domains such as healthcare, finance, gaming, and law. Moreover, the paper delves into the hurdles associated with big data models, including both technical and non-technical issues such as data quality, privacy, scalability, and interpretability.
