- Abstract
The ninth meeting of the Central Finance and Economics Commission pointed out that “achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality is a broad and profound economic and social systemic change”. Under the dual carbon goal, the deep decarbonization of the energy system is imperative. This paper analyzes the policy under the dual carbon goal and focuses on the current physical and chemical energy storage methods. The most fundamental way to realize the dual carbon goals as soon as possible and reduce carbon dioxide emissions so as to gradually replace coal and other fossil energy sources is to develop renewable energy.
