- Abstract
In 1930s, there was a heated debate on the view of "Women Going Home", and the magazine "Women Resonance" put forward the concept of "New Doctrine of Virtue". On the basis of equality between men and women, this concept advocated that women should continue to play the role of good wife and good mother in family, while men should also deal with family matters, playing the role of "good husband and good father", so as to achieve the harmony between husband and wife, as well as the unity of the family. After the publication of this special issue, the magazine received as much criticism as praise. Editors then wrote to refute those who criticized, and reiterated their position. This doctrine made up for the previous proposition that advocated both men and women should deal with family matters, broke the mindset existing since the opening of female schools that only woman should deal with family matters, and insisted that men should share the burden. This doctrine, different from the traditional "Doctrine of Virtue" and "New Doctrine of Good Wife and Good Mother", is a new perspective of women's liberation.
