Abstract

“First-class major” is fundamental for educating “first-class talents”, and its construction depends on the organization and leadership of first-class “supervisor of major”. Developing and optimizing the management system for the supervisor is holistically circumstantial in lifting their quality and capability, as well as substantial in grooming more top-grade supervisor. The paper, based on real cases, puts forward suggestions on how to construct and intensify the management system of “supervisor of major” in colleges and universities against the backdrop of “first-class major” program from the perspectives of working conditions, selection and appointment procedures, duties and rights, assessment and management, etc.
