- Abstract
The most striking feature of autistic children is their social cognitive deficits, with emotion recognition being the weakest aspect of social cognition. From reviewing the literature related to emotion recognition in children with autism, it is found that there are problems in this field, such as insufficient research sample size, relatively insufficient developmental research, inconsistency of research results, and difficulty in implementing empirical research. This is followed by a summary of the relevant research as well as an outlook to provide a reference for those involved in the research work.
