- Abstract
Fu Manchu is the novel role written by British writer Sax Rohmer and has been filmed by British and American, producing strong communicative effects globally. Based on the film The Brides of Fu Manchu, it disclosed the two significant devils Fu Manchu and his daughter, Fah Lo Suee who kidnapped scientists’ daughter as the victims. Being defined as the mad person, Fu Manchu represents the Power Theory by Foucault; while, the counterpart detective Smiths played the role of doctors treating the crazy yellow peril and maintaining the stability of the western world.
