Welcome to the Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Education Practice organized by the Faculty of Education, Jakarta State University. The theme of this conference is “Research & Innovation in Educational Practices.” This theme creates connections and shares scientific research between academics, scientists, students, practitioners, teachers, and education observers to present and discuss research results and innovative ideas aimed at solving current and cutting-edge education issues. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in Innovation in Teaching and Learning, Assessment Theories and Methodology, Research Trends in Education, and Policy on Educational Practices.

The Faculty of Education, Jakarta State University, as an institution that produces educators and teachers, has an essential role in helping to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, one of which is organizing an international seminar. The seminar’s theme, “Research & Innovation in Educational Practices,” encourages the emergence of new ideas that simultaneously monitor changes in the education system and connect innovation with education performance. By holding this seminar, academics, scientists, students, practitioners, teachers, and education observers can develop appropriate innovation policies, better identify key change agents, fight for them, and find more effective approaches to improve and disseminate educational innovation.

The theme of the 2024 seminar describes the changes that have occurred in the education system in Indonesia in the last period. Educational research and innovation require scientific collaboration between academics, scientists, students, practitioners, teachers, and education observers at both national and international levels to prepare students for their future, sharpen innovation policies in education, and better target policy instruments. We hope that these proceedings can be the beginning of conducting research and innovation in educational practices in the future.
