- Abstract
In recent years, the rapid development of the digital economy has become a new endogenous driving force for economic growth. Digital technologies are providing important support for sustainable development and addressing global climate change. Considering this, this paper focuses on exploring the relationship between the development of the digital economy and carbon emissions in different urban areas in China, based on the differences in the application of digital technologies and the status of carbon emissions. The study concludes that the carbon emission effects of China’s digital economy are regionally unbalanced and influenced by complex factors. Based on this, policy recommendations are provided for the development of China’s digital economy.
