- Abstract
The article reviews the use of information technology in higher education. Since the impact of information technologies on humans is ambivalent in its nature, there are both advantages and some undesirable aspects pertaining to its significant but not sufficiently studied effect on mental functions of a person, his personality and development possibilities. It has been observed that an uncontrolled use of information technologies might have some negative consequences, which would block the individual developmental potential.
