- Abstract
Nida’s functional equivalence theory has a great influence among the translations circle throughout the world. The feasibility and instruction of his theory of English-Chinese or Chinese-English translation have been widely verified and confirmed. From the perspective of the theory, some techniques on the translation of the report to the 18th National Congress of the CPC are explored proving it is feasible and instructive. Thus, the theory has been adopted to improve the translation of political essays.
