Abstract

This study articulates the definition and features of digital technology while integrating a theoretical framework with practical applications in college ideological and political education. It aims to thoroughly examine the intricate relationship between digital technology and this educational domain, seeking to uncover how digital advancements enhance college ideological and political work, as well as to highlight both the beneficial impacts and potential challenges posed by these technologies. The findings indicate that digital technology not only diversifies educational content and broadens access but also enhances the effectiveness and quality of education. Nonetheless, there are significant challenges associated with its implementation, including issues related to data security, privacy concerns, teachers’ limited proficiency in utilizing digital tools, and students’ over-reliance on such technologies. To address these issues, this paper recommends bolstering legal frameworks and technical measures for safeguarding data security and privacy; enhancing teacher training programs to boost their competency in applying digital technologies; guiding students towards responsible use of these tools to mitigate dependency; and establishing a comprehensive evaluation system along with standard norms for digital education to ensure effective integration and innovative progress within college ideological and political initiatives.
