Data were analyzed with PSA formula and the Wilcoxon T-test. The result of content validity 87.87%, media validity 90.63%. The result of the small group try-out testing was 88.71% and the large group try-out testing was 80.71% with a significance level of 5%, df=88 obtained T observed = 26.58 and T Table = 1.66. Thus T is bigger than T Table, meaning that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test. in conclusion, the project-based textbook on instructional media for special needs children is proper and effective.
