Abstract

The research objective is to determine the implementation of asset returns in corruption crimes in Indonesia and to find out the obstacles faced in asset recovery of corruption in Indonesia. The type of research used is normative research data collection technique is library research. The results of the study show that the mechanism for returning assets in criminal acts of corruption consists of criminal and civil channels and obstacles in the implementation of asset recovery in corruption cases in Indonesia, namely in terms of investigations, legal systems between different countries, inadequate facilities and infrastructure owned by Indonesia, it is not easy to cooperate with other countries, dual criminality, and the problem of central authority.
