The 5th International Conference on Chemical Investigation and Utilization of Natural Resources (ICCIUNR-2021), organized by the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences, provides a virtual platform to share the latest achievements, innovative results, new knowledge, and information from 15 different fields in chemical sciences among experts and colleagues around the world.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of both the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, ICCIUNR-2021 brings up the importance of Chemistry in ensuring sustainable development at the national and international level through our conference motto “Chemistry as catalyst for Sustainable Development”.

The conference has outstanding plenary and keynote speakers from Japan, China, Germany, Russia, and the Republic of Korea, among 85 presenters and over 150 participants.

ICCIUNR-2021 received 43 scientific papers and went through a double-blind review by experts from Japan, the United States of America, Turkey, Denmark, and Mongolia, and accepted 23 original research papers for the publications.

We are grateful to all the authors who submitted their works to the conference and we hope that this proceedings will provide state-of-art information for scholars and researchers.
