- Abstract
The article provides a socio-philosophical analysis of the information revolution and the development of the information society. The article considers a relevant problem of the influence that the information revolution of the 21st century has on the development of science. An analysis of the ambivalent nature of such impact is given. On the one hand, the new information environment provides new opportunities for the scientific community. On the other hand, the authors analyze a set of possible negative consequences of the modern information dictatorship for the development of science.
