Welcome to the International Conference on Bio-Based Environment for Sustainable Territory IC-BEST 2024, held on November 7th–8th at the river city of Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is both an honour and a pleasure to greet everyone participated to embark on a transformative journey towards a more sustainable and equitable future. The conference stands around with the pivotal theme of “Key initiatives for bio-based alternative transformation for planet.” We have united here at IC-BEST 2024 to address some of the most pressing challenges encountered in our quest for environmental stewardship and climate justice.
In the face of increasing climate change challenges, our collaborative efforts aim to facilitate meaningful progress through discussions centered on bio-based solutions and green technology. This gathering focuses on promoting environmental justice and resilient ecosystems, with a particular emphasis on the benefits of biochar for waste management and soil remediation. The conference will delve into how biochar can rejuvenate degraded landscapes while serving as a key tool for carbon sequestration. Furthermore, we will explore the innovative potential of green nanomaterials in addressing pollution and safeguarding environmental and public health.
At IC-BEST 2024, we emphasize the integration of environmental policy and green governance in our discussions, aiming to connect technological advancements with effective regulatory frameworks. We support sustainable practices and equitable access to renewable technologies, demonstrating our commitment to both environmental sustainability and development. We seek innovative solutions that improve renewable energy infrastructure while responsibly managing the transition from non-renewable energy sources.
I would like to express my earnest gratitude to our beloved principal for his steadfast support and guidance in successfully conducting IC-BEST 2024, the way he illuminated the importance of adopting green practices in daily lives inspired studiers through “Reduce-Reuse-Recycle” catchphrase. Furthermore, his exemplary leadership stimulates instrumental role for eco-conscious individuals. As the Organizing Secretary, I would like to express my special thanks to the keynote speakers, sponsors, and organizing committee members whose unwavering commitment and hard work have made this event a reality. I also thank our delegates, for their participation and enthusiasm. Their insights are vital, as we collectively forge pathways to a sustainable future rooted in bio-based environments.
Moreover, I am pleased to announce that the peer-reviewed conference papers from IC-BEST 2024 will be officially published in Atlantis Press, ensuring that our contribution to scholarly discourse reaches a global audience. This partnership with a leading publishing house reflects our commitment to disseminating high-quality research that inspires actionable insights and further discussion.
