- Abstract
This study investigated the experiences of 21 English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers in Indonesia who teach English to young students, before, during, and after the COVID-19 outbreak. The study aimed to explore how the pandemic affected their teaching methods and how they adapted to the changes brought about by the pandemic. The results showed that the teachers were initially challenged by the sudden shift to online learning, but they gradually developed their pedagogical and technological competencies over time. The teachers demonstrated creativity in their teaching before the pandemic, using offline learning media. However, they experienced a technological stutter in the beginning when the pandemic hit. The study highlights the importance of teachers developing their pedagogical and technological competencies to adapt to changes in various teaching circumstances, in order to preserve the quality of the learning process.
