Proceedings of the International Conference on Arts and Design Education (ICADE 2018)
Creating and developing academic activities, both individually and collaboratively, is one of the strategies to realize the vision as well as the mission of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) as leading and outstanding university in education (Asep Kadarochman’s speech on the opening ICADE’s Conference, September 19, 2019). Therefore, Fakultas Pendidikan Seni dan Desain or Faculty of Arts and Design Education, which was established by UPI in September 2014, hosted the first International Conference on Arts and Design Education (ICADE 2018) on September 18-19, 2018 in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia.
ICADE 2018 aims to provide a medium forum for professors, educators, researchers, scholars, arts teachers, graduate and undergraduate students from the diverse `academic and cultural backgrounds to present and discuss research, knowledge and innovation within the fields of arts education and design. This conference also serves as an opportunity for the participants to exchange new ideas and experience, develop the scholarship and collaboration in research and promote the global partnership for future cooperation and promoting new ideas, innovation, and creativity.
