Abstract

The paper deals with the key aspects of electronic literary texts visual representation. The polycode components interaction inside the structural and semantic integrity of electronic literary text is analyzed as well as the role of these elements in the thematic complex of the artwork. The comprehension of the graphical means in an electronic literary text takes place within the framework of metagraphemics. The author provides an overview of metagraphemical means in electronic literary texts such as graphic segmentation, kerning, colour and font variations. The research materials are the electronic literary texts based on Adobe Flash and HTML.
