Abstract

With the rapid development of China's economy, the conflict between environment and economic development is also constantly occurring. As the central region of Western China, economic development and environmental pollution in Shaanxi are becoming more and more prominent. For this purpose, this paper makes an empirical analysis on the relationship between economic growth and air pollution in Shaanxi province by using the relevant data of Shaanxi province from 2005 to 2015 and citing the concept of GPI index. The results show that the GPI of SO2 and smoke are negatively correlated with GDP.
