The 2024 3rd International Conference on Engineering Management and Information Science (EMIS 2024) was held during April 12 to 14, 2024, in Beijing, China. It was co-sponsored by well-known universities and research institutions at home and abroad and supported by many enterprises and organizations in the industry.

The EMIS is aimed to be an international academic conference for scientists and researchers from the fields related to engineering management and information science in China and the outside world and has been held as an annual academic event since 2022. Our mission is to foster scientific exchanges and to promote a high-standard level of researches and experiments in China and the international community. Bearing in mind the principle of academic exchange first, EMIS 2024 aimed at promoting the innovative development in engineering management and information science through academic exchanges, achievement demonstration and cooperation negotiation.

The conference covers a wide range of theoretical and applied topics, including:

• Machine LearningandDeepLearningTechniques;
• Blockchain forInformationIntegrity;
• Semantic WebandOntologies,etc.

Attracting about 100 delegates worldwide, the conference was mainly divided into keynote speeches, oral presentations, poster sessions and academic discussions. Scholars had time at their disposal to present theirwork and researches,with 30–40 min for keynote speech including time for discussion, and about 15 min for oral presentation. During the conference, Assoc. Prof. Tang Yao (Beihang University, China) shared his research AI Emotions in Current Service Research. He introduced that it is an important development trend of contemporary service industries to use AI with emotion expression ability to meet customers’ emotional demands in social and relational services. Here in the report, he drew on the emotion as social informationmodel to explore customers’ psychological and behavioral reaction mechanism caused by complex emotions expressed by AI in service encounter. The participants actively interacted with each other and the speakers during discussion time.

Once again, we must admit that organizing the EMIS 2024 and finalizing the editing process for the post publications has been quite a challenge.We haveworked with passion and enthusiasm.We firmly believe that the discussions, interactions and publications of this proceedings can help improve researches and experiments in related fields, offering creative ideas that can be used by researchers to conduct experiments, as well as creating important link between theory and practice.
