Proceedings of the Conference on Health and Wellbeing in Modern Society (CHW 2021)
The Conference “Health and wellbeing in modern society” 2021 was held at Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University (Yakutsk, Russia on October 27-29, 2021.
The Arctic is the territory of sovereign states as well as the region of global significance. Unlike the Antarctic without permanent population, the Arctic region consists of eight sovereign countries responsible for the wellbeing of about 4 million of their residents. The issues of health and social wellbeing are a problem of not only national but also global level, which requires productive international cooperation of both the Arctic and the non-Arctic countries, interested in the region.
In the era of COVID-19, wellbeing and health of the inhabitants of the Arctic region are especially important. Due to the easing of the restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become possible to hold some key events for the Arctic region. Among them is III Northern Sustainable Development Forum which is a major scientific event dedicated to the socio-economic and ethnocultural development of the northern regions. The continuation of this forum is the conference "Health and wellbeing in modern society". It is equally important today to discuss the issues of maintaining and preserving the physical and mental health of the people living in the Arctic region, with its especially harsh climatic and weather conditions.
Annual conference "Health and wellbeing in modern society" aims to consider the development of medicine and health care in the northern regions. The influence of harsh living conditions on the human body is analyzed. Modern technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases are considered. In this issue, we present to our readers the latest research on healthcare and well-being: topical issues of clinical medicine, socialized medicine, cardiology, oncology, genetics physical activities and sport, hygiene and ecology, children’s health, healthy lifestyle and health risks in the modern world. The issues of psychological well-being of the population of the northern regions, early diagnosis and prevention of diseases are discussed. Particular attention is paid to COVID-19 and the peculiarities of its impact on people living in the Arctic region.
Health and wellbeing in modern society 2021 aims to develop the scientific cooperation between Russian and foreign researchers in the field of healthcare, social wellbeing and clinical medicine. The Conference were organized with the support of Government of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia, Russia), Yüzüncü Yıl Universty (Turkey), Complex research institute RAS (Grozny, Russia), International Organization of Northern Regions the Northern Forum (Japan, USA, Russia), AMAZONEN-WERKE H (Germany), Medical scientific center (Yakutsk, Russia).
