As the wave of digitization sweeps across the globe, the study of digital economy and management science is particularly important. In order to further promote academic exchanges and technological innovations in these fields, we are honored to announce the 2024 2nd International Conference on Digital Economy and Management Science (CDEMS 2024), held during January 26 to 28, 2024, in Wuhan, China (hybrid event).

The theme of CDEMS 2024 was centered on the latest research results, trends, and application perspectives in digital economy and management science. This conference provided a high-profile, leading-edge forum for researchers, engineers, practitioners, and relevant personnel to present the state-of-the-art advances and innovations in theoretical foundations, systems, infrastructure, tools, testbeds, and applications in related fields, as well as to identify emerging research topics and define the future.

This year, CDEMS 2024 brought together about 100 participants and featured a robust technical program of keynote speeches, oral presentations, poster presentations, and academic discussions. Many renowned professors at home and abroad delivered dramatic keynote speeches during the Conference. Based on the research Connotation, Strategy and Speed of Digital Transformation and Firm Performance, Prof. Runhui Lin (Nankai University, China) presented the connotation and strategy of digital transformation to identify the technological and strategic sides of digital transformation. He provided evidence that accelerating an organization’s digital transformation can result in short-term cost reductions and operational efficiencies, thereby enhancing corporate financial performance. Nevertheless, a too rapid transformation over the long term may adversely affect market performance, primarily due to absorptive capacity constraints. The optimal pace of digital transformation should be carefully chosen based on a com- pany’s specific circumstances, industry context, and external environment to maximize the impact of digital transformation.

This Proceedings of CDEMS 2024 covers topics on all fields of research related to digital economy and management science, including Data Processing in Economic Man- agement, Economic Growth and Technological InnovationMarketing, Green Economy, Industrial and Commercial Enterprise Management, Financial Engineering, Risk Man- agement, etc., increasing the number of scientific publications for science and technology innovation.

We would like to thank all the participants in the 2024 2nd International Conference on Digital Economy and Management Science. We are also grateful to all the conference committee members and staff of the conference, for the work and preparation they put in to shape and organize this great event. Finally, our special acknowledgements go to AEBMR-Advances in Economics, Business, and Management Research from Atlantis Press, for the endeavor of all its colleagues in publishing this paper volume.
