- Abstract
Oil soaked meat in earthen pot and sand shrimps are two special dishes in Pan Zhihua city, which have simple names and rich cultures. The two dishes are the representative dishes of Pan Zhihua food. The paper aims to explore how to translate the regional food cultures behind the dishes under the guidance of cultural schema in order to comprehensively spread national and regional characteristics of food cultures, so that the regional and national cultural connotation can be better understood by target readers. The author suggest that we should fully consider the psychology and acceptance degree of the readers, and apply deep translation method to translate local characteristic dishes from the perspective of cultural schema, so as to better spread regional characteristic food culture.
