Abstract

With the study of anti-allergy medicine, it proves traditional Chinese medicine has anti-allergic effects and several other functions, such as protecting and stabilizing the target cell membrane (reduce or prevent degranulation, release the allergy mediators, increase the intracellular cAMP levels), inhibiting the formation of IgE, against allergies media, neutralizing the allergen and so on. In addition, it has good clinical effects and no significant adverse reactions. This paper take reference to a variety of literatures and introduces the anti-allergic effect of single herb and compound traditional Chinese medicine. On the basis of it, we compared the advantages of the traditional Chinese medicine with the western medicine in the treatment of allergy.
