Proceedings of the 2024 3rd International Conference on Applied Mechanics and Engineering Structures (AMES 2024)
Conference: Proceedings of the 2024 3rd International Conference on Applied Mechanics and Engineering Structures (AMES 2024)
Date: 17-19 May 2024
Location: Zhuhai, China (Hybrid)
Website: http://www.icames.org The 2024 3rd International Conference on Applied Mechanics and Engineering Structures (AMES 2024) is an important international academic event that brings together scholars and experts from around the world to promote exchanges and cooperation in the fields of applied mechanics and engineering structures and to foster development and innovation in related fields. AMES 2024, held from May 17 to 19, 2024, in Zhuhai, China, via hybrid form, provided a platform for participants to share their latest research results, discuss cuttingedge technologies, and exchange academic ideas. The conference agenda covered a wide range of topics, including but not limited to research areas such as structural mechanics, materials engineering, vibration and control, computational mechanics, composites, and structural optimization, providing a good opportunity for attendees to share their research achievements and academic perspectives with their international counterparts. One of the most significant programs is the keynote speech performed by renowned experts around the globe in their respective domains. Topics such as mechanical metamaterials and potential applications (by Prof. Xin Ren, Nanjing Tech University, China), state of the art in construction technology (by Prof. Mohamed A. Ismail, Brunel London School North China University of Technology, China), enhanced rock slope stability prediction through integration of remote sensing and artificial neural network (Ann) techniques (by Assoc. Prof. Ahmad Safuan Bin A Rashid, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia), study on composite utilization of underground space of public green space in Beijing Old Town (by Assoc. Prof. Bin Hu, Beijing University of Technology, China) were shared and discussed. Participants listened to these exciting presentations and participated in panel discussions and academic exchanges, gaining unique academic inspiration and cross-disciplinary thinking while getting potential chances to establish research collaborations in the future. The Proceedings of AMES 2024 contains all the accepted papers, all having gone through rigorous peer review, and will be an important academic volume with a collection of international top research results. The Proceedings will provide valuable references for academics and colleagues in the field of engineering and promote the in-depth development and exchange of academic research. Finally, we would like to acknowledge once again all the experts, scholars, engineers, and organizers involved in the AMES 2024 for their efforts and dedication. And we believe that with these joint efforts, this conference would have contributed to the promotion of the research and development in the field of applied mechanics and engineering structures and contributed to the global scientific and technological innovation and progress.
