Abstract

Practical ability is the focus of higher education under the background of “Internet +” and “new engineering”, and is the basic demand for talent under the background of the new era. This paper takes the network engineering major of the school of artificial intelligence and big data of Hefei university as an example, adopts the concept of “modularization”, takes social demand as the orientation, and makes active exploration and beneficial attempts to cultivate students’ practical ability from the aspects of talent training program formulation, teaching methods, teaching means, and teacher staff. The practice proves that under the background of “Internet +” and “new engineering”, the exploration of the training mode of practical ability of network engineering talents improves the teaching quality, and provides theoretical and practical basis for the training of new engineering talents in the era of “Internet +”.
