A lot of academicians and professionals have conducted researches on various issues of psychology and counseling. They also applied the theory and the result of the researches in the related areas. Various strategies have been continuously developed to obtain an optimum psychological health, both on individual and community levels. These strategies are either theoretical or practical concepts, which based on either the subjective experience or the empirical research.

The conference was discussing the issues of the result of research and practical experiences on psychology, counseling and humanities to improve a productivity, psychological health and well-being. The new strategies summarized from this conference were hopefully able to inspire a comprehensive model in the development of psychological health which this model is constructively applicable to solves various psychological health –related problems.

5th ASEAN Conference on Psychology, Counseling and Humanity is organized by the Postgraduate Program / School of Psychology, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Indonesia and School of Educational Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia. The Conference on Psychology, Counseling and Humanities is held annually. The topic our conference is “Towards the psycho-social well-being of society:
Challenges and opportunities in the digital age.” It is wide range of topics to enable experts and post-graduate students can present and publish their thoughts and result of research.

Although the conference was started from UMM, on this occasion we offer opportunity for all to collaborate to organize the conference in the next year. Now, we hold the ASIAN conference on Psychology and Counseling at at Universiti Sains Malaysia, maybe in next year we can conducted at Thailand, or in other countries. If this can be done together, this forum is very good for producing well-publicized works as well.

On this occasion we appreciated Undergraduate and Master Program of Psychology of UMM and School of Education Studies USM which organized the conference to discuss in more depth to gain a broad perspective on psychology, counseling and humanities. We also expressed our sincerest thanks for the speakers who came for the benefit of this conference. The ideas presented by speakers will provide a meaningful enlightenment for us all in conveying ideas in the field of psychology, counseling and humanities.

Hopefully, the proceeding of the conference has a lot of ideas and inspiration for the development of science in the field of psychology and counseling.
