Proceedings of the AASRI Winter International Conference on Engineering and Technology (AASRI-WIET 2013)
The 2013 AASRI Winter International Conference on Engineering and Technology (AASRI-WIET 2013), held on December 28-29, 2013, Saipan, USA, will be the most comprehensive conference focused on the various aspects of Engineering and Technology such as Computer Science.
Computer sciences: the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. A computer scientist specializes in the theory of computation and the design of computational systems. Its subfields can be divided into a variety of theoretical and practical disciplines. Some fields, such as computational complexity theory, are highly abstract, whilst fields such as computer graphics emphasize real-world visual applications. Still other fields focus on the challenges in implementing computation. For example, programming language theory considers various approaches to the description of computation, whilst the study of computer programming itself investigates various aspects of the use of programming language and complex systems. Human-computer interaction considers the challenges in making computers and computations useful, usable, and universally accessible to humans. Engineering is the application of scientific, economic, social, and practical knowledge in order to design, build, and maintain structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes. It may encompass using insights to conceive, model and scale an appropriate solution to a problem or objective. The discipline of engineering is extremely broad, and encompasses a range of more specialized fields of engineering, each with a more specific emphasis on particular areas of technology and types of application.
AASRI-WIET 2013 is sponsored by American Applied Sciences Research Institute, American. AASRI-WIET 2013 has received more than 120 submissions from 8 countries and regions. The papers come from both academia and industry reflecting the international flavor of this event in the topics of Engineering and Technology. About 50 papers were accepted to be presented in AASRI-WIET 2013, according to the reports from anonymous reviewers.
AASRI-WIET provides a chance for academic and industry professionals to discuss recent progress in the area of Engineering and Technology such as Computer Science. The selected, peer-reviewed papers from AASRI-WIET 2013 focus on three topics:
1) Information Technology and Systems
2) Simulation, Modeling and Visualization
3) Computers and Education
We expect that the conference and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvements in this importance subject.
Special thanks to the authors, the committee members and the sponsors. I hope all the participants can obtain useful information from the proceedings.
