DSAHMJ Included in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)

After only one year of publication, we are pleased to announce that the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Journal (DSAHMJ) has been accepted for inclusion in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). DOAJ is a community-curated online directory of open access journals which aims to be the starting point of all information searches for quality, peer-reviewed, open access material. DOAJ's mission is to increase the visibility, accessibility, reputation, usage and impact of quality, peer-reviewed, open access scholarly research journals globally, regardless of discipline, geography or language. At present, the directory contains more than 14,500 open access journals from 133 countries and more than 4.8 million open access articles covering all areas of science, technology, medicine, social sciences and humanities. The inclusion of the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Journal into the DOAJ is expected to significantly enhance the visibility of the journal.

HMG Announces “Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Excellence Award for Clinical Scientific Research”

During a Critical Care Conference in Riyadh, the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (HMG) announced an annual award for excellence in clinical research under the title “Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Excellence Award for Clinical Scientific Research”. The award consists of 6 prizes for a total of 1.5 million SAR and is presented to the best research published in the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Journal at the end of each year starting from 2020. The first 3 awards for 500,000 SAR, 300,000 SAR and 200,000 SAR respectively, are for original research in disease treatment, pharmaceutical innovation and biomedical technology. A fourth award is presented for the 4 best reviews (systematic review, meta-analysis, meta-synthesis or narrative review) which will receive 50,000 SAR each. A fifth award is presented for the 3 best student researches which will receive 50,000 SAR each. A sixth and final award is presented to the 3 winners in the Fellowship Programs at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties which will also receive 50,000 SAR each. Online Submission System for DSAHMJ Now Open for Submissions

From today onwards, the Editorial Manager online submission and peer review system for the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Journal (DSAHMJ) is open for submissions. DSAHMJ is a new journal launched by the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (HMG) which supports multidisciplinary medical research and publishes articles on important contributions in all areas of medicine and health professions, as well as evaluations of health care practice in different health sectors and geographical regions. Submission of articles to DSAHMJ proceeds through the Editorial Manager system only. HMG to Launch New Journal with Atlantis Press

The Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (HMG) reached an agreement with Atlantis Press today about the provision of publishing services to their new journal entitled Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Journal. The journal, which is scheduled to appear quarterly, will support multidisciplinary medical research and aims to publish articles on important contributions in all areas of medicine and health professions, as well as evaluations of health care practice in different health sectors and geographical regions. The Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Journal is expected to open for submissions before the end of December 2018 with the first issue scheduled to be published in March 2019.
