- Abstract
This study aims to obtain the resilience of female characters who are victims of bullying in the novel Orang-Orang Biasa and Guru Aini. This is because the novel ends with the success of one of the female characters who are victims of bullying in achieving their goals. The approach used in this research is literary psychology, namely character psychology. The theory used in this research is the concept of psychology, resilience, and feminism. Data analysis is done by analyzing every word, sentence, and paragraph, which is a narration, dialogue, monologue, and the characters’ behavior related to the concept of resilience and feminist with psychological and sosial interpretation techniques. The results of the study show that female characters who are victims of bullying are resilient because of pressure from several parties. Of the seven basic abilities of resilience, most of the female characters have. Even a female figure has all the basic competencies of resilience, namely the character Aini. In addition, the novel explains how some characters also develop resilience for reasons related to characters of the opposite sex, namely being bullied and dumped by male characters. This is interesting, because it shows that there is a gender intersection in the novel. The conclusion of this research is that the novel explains that female characters have good resilience abilities so that they can survive psychologically and socially stressful situations.
