Abstract

In the process of urbanization, the rapid economic development inevitably brings environmental pressure, and the current problems of environmental destruction and ecological deterioration are becoming more and more prominent. “Smart City” relies on modern information technology, integrates resource advantages, and deeply integrates informatization, industrialization, and urbanization. Based on the coupling coordination degree model, this paper compares and analyzes the interaction and coupling relationship between smart city and ecological environment in Nanjing and Xi’an from 2010 to 2019 by constructing the comprehensive index of smart city and comprehensive index of urban ecology. The results show that there is an obvious coupling interaction between the smart city construction and the ecological environment system of the two cities. The coordination degree also gradually tends to be benign and high-quality with the development of the economy and the support of policies.
