- Abstract
International fisheries is a complicated issue and one of the main reason is the fact that terestrial natural resources are reducing in numbers, thus making marine natural resources, which includes marine fisheries resources, as a cornerstone for development and growth. The growth of population also play a significant role in the increasing demand of marine natural resources, coupled with an improving quality of life. Therefore, coastal states and long distance fishing states are vying to exploit their marine fisheries resources as much as possible.
