- Abstract
Quality control (QC) is an activity to measure the quality of an item by comparing it according to the specifications and requirements needed by the company, or it can be said also as an effort to maintain the quality of the goods produced in accordance with predetermined specifications based on company regulation. The method used to reduce various types of defects, produced by PT. XYZ was analyzed using the Pareto diagram to indicate the type of defect and the most of the control chart that produced defects were still within the control limits, using the six sigma method in calculating DPMO which resulted in a DPMO value of 49,613.04 with a sigma value of 3,125, and a fishbone diagram describe various disabilities, causes and consequences of events.
