- Abstract
This paper compared the differences between Chinese and Western “dragon” culture and emphasizes that cross-cultural communication should focus on contrast and comparison between heterogeneous cultures. Through the detailed analysis of the origins, cultural connotations, and symbolic meanings of Eastern and Western dragons, as well as their cultural development, we attempt to find a reasonable solution to reduce adverse effects of cultural differences and promote cross-cultural communication.
