Abstract

With the development of China's opening-up, more and more western cultures get into our sight. As people face with unfamiliar cultures and countries, some inevitable cultural conflicts might happen in communication, which will seriously affect the contacts being carried out smoothly. Learning and using the right business etiquette can not only make a good impression on others, but also promote the benefit and strife of the company. Therefore, business etiquette has a decisive position in intercultural communication between China and western countries. Etiquette is the carrier of culture, and it cannot exist without culture. There are a lot of discrepancies between China and western countries, so people can't ignore the impacts of Sino-western cultural differences on business etiquette between China and western countries. Based on some cultural factors, people must find out the differences of Sino-western business etiquette and put forward some countermeasures for effective business etiquette, in order to reduce misunderstanding and benefit more. This paper mainly analyzes differences of business etiquette based on these cultural factors and puts forward some countermeasures. At this level of research, the paper selects the following issues as its research motives and objectives: analyze cultural reasons, find out differences on business etiquette and put forward some countermeasures. The analysis obtained in all parts of this study, taken together, points in the direction of rousing the attention of business etiquette efficiently.
