Use of the “Breakout” Zoom Feature for Discussion Rooms at Electronic Project-Based Learning

- Abstract
This study aims to determine the benefits of using the Zoom breakout feature in synchronous learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The design of this research is survey research. The total population is 100 respondents. There are some qualifications and academic background before conducting the survey. They have learned by using the help of the Zoom breakout feature in synchronous learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The sample of this research is 50 respondents. The total percentage of student activity ratings for participating in synchronous learning is 69.98%. it’s in the “agree category”. This category shows the respondents’ interest in the synchronous learning process. Based on the overall mean is 2.82 and the standard deviation is 0.54. Respondents agreed that they had participated in learning using the breakout zoom feature synchronously in the learning process. This means that students feel helped by the breakout feature as a substitute for groups in offline discussions.
